The way the question is phrased is rather vague.
If you're talking about the sound of the audio transmission, Equity Communications' stations (WAYV, WZBZ, WTTH, WZXL) are all quite irritating since they pitch the music up on all of them.
If you're talking about the least relevant station in terms of programming, it's a tie between Hit 106 & 105.7 The Hawk.
With Hit 106, the morning show is irritating and not funny at all, and every song that they play can be heard elsewhere on the dial (on multiple stations, I might add). Regardless of where you are within Hit 106's coverage area, you will find half a dozen stations with the same exact format playing nearly the same exact music. It also bears mentioning that while Sunday featured some of G Rock's most interesting programming, now they have the thrilling "Otto Mation" manning the boards the entire day. As for the imaging: some of it consists of cheesily-sung station IDs that would sound more at home on a "soft rock" station, while others are downright laughable ("Finally you have your own hit music connection" - seriously). Even when you don't take into account that Hit 106 replaced a station that filled a void in the area, it's incredibly generic, bland, and most importantly, unnecessary.
Same problem with 105.7 The Hawk: music that can be heard in tons of other places. Wherever you go in New Jersey, you're bound to land on at least 3 or 4 stations that either play classic rock exclusively or primarily. There's very little that differentiates The Hawk from the lot aside from syndicated morning and late-night shows, and that has been a problem. When an out-of-market station is stomping you in the ratings, it's time to rethink your strategy. Either find a way to stand out from the pack, or move on to fill a gaping hole in the Monmouth/Ocean market - there are a few, but one that stands out like a sore thumb ... we'll leave it at that.
