Worst spot delivery ever

The original jag ad that Howie did back in July was outrageous, he did it in his best "high talker" voice -
it sounded like he was standing on his tippy toes and screaming at the top of his damn lungs.
The spot has since been done over. The sandal ad is just plain stupid.

The network capital ads are most annoying, OMG here's the sandal ad right now as
I type this, Belmont Medical Supplies, LMAO, anyway, I can do without network capital
ads and on sunday's kerrie kasem and some guy used to do a one hour program and
OMG all they did was SCREAM out the damn phone number repeatedly, over and over
and over and over again. I tuned in about 2 weeks ago and there are two new people
doing the show, they do repeat the number but at least they don't scream it.

The "Bill Kelly is one of us" spot, means he's one of the good guys, not one of the sleezy financial
people who are out to get what they can from you. Kelly does a three hour snooze fest on Saturdays
from 9 to noon, seriously, it's a snooze fest. AND they gave him another hour on Sundays. He may be
a good guy, but man oh man, he can put you to sleep in 5 seconds flat.

I'm not sure it's possible to listen to Kelly's entire show! Of all the paid financial programs out there, his is the worst. Boring nonsense that only occasionally has to do with finance...
He sounds like a strange dude.

I can't believe anyone is still listening to that drek on WRKO. The rank commericials fit a rank station.

I don't listen to WRKO on the weekends, there's nothing but paid programming. I do listen during the week because
I enjoy Kuhner and Howie, can't stand the golfer (limbaugh), as for groucho (levin) I can only take him in very very
small doses, like maybe 5 minutes and if I'm awake I'll catch some of Jerry Doyle, usually by the time levin comes
on WRKO's reception is horrendous so it's almost impossible to listen, especially in the winter when the sun goes down
at 4pm. As for Kelly, well with him you can tune in this Saturday and not tune in again til Thanksgiving and
you'll hear the exact same show, at least that's the way it used to be way back and you're right, he
doesn't discuss anything financial except to push his book and some reports which he gives away for free,
the rest of the time he's yakking with his wife or his kid or one of his employees on the phone, tune in 6 weeks
from now and you'll hear the same conversation.

How about some Radio Fun? The Bill Kelley Drinking game!! I'll start:

EVERY TIME BILL:

-Plays a Traveling Wilburys bumper-1 sip
-Puts his wife/kid on the phone-2 sips

You get the idea!

Kelly puts on a three hour snooze fest which (back when I did listen) sounds like it's on a loop,
meaning, what you hear in the first 45 minutes will be repeated again>>and>>again>>and>>again
until the 3 hours is up. So, in order to play the drinking game we'd need more than your bottle and my bottle,
we'd need a damn case or more - plus on Sunday he goes for another hour repeating the same crap
from the Saturday show. Way back, he claimed that people love the show, he gets all kinds of good
reviews, been on the air for years, he must be doing something right, bla bla bla. I think what he's doing
is getting people drunk to the point that they don't notice him anymore and just party their brains out. I
guess maybe that's why people "love the show" it gives them a reason to drink and be merry!

Could you post a tally so that we can know how much to drink without having to subject ourselves to his "show"?

Put it this way, starting at 9am on Saturday morning, take a drink of your choice every 5 minutes until noon time, LOL, that should cover it! On Sunday IIRC he's on from 2 to 3pm, take a drink of your choice every 5 minutes for an hour, you should be good to go!

And...when the "Bill Kelly, Motivational Speaker" spot comes on, chug until the spot is over. (I actually did a spit-take the first time I heard that).

OMG first time I heard that I burst out laughing! Motivational speaker, that has got to be the funniest thing
I've heard in years. He used to put me to sleep after about 4 minutes, how can this man be a
"motivational" speaker? Seriously, think about it, "motivational", all I was motivated to do was put my head down
and take a nap. Kelly may be a very nice man, probably very successful, seems like he's old school and that's
fine, he respects people probably takes his time, makes sure all t's are crossed and all i's are dotted and that is
fine with me, but, I remember way back when I listened to him he said that people asked him to speak slowly
when he's on the radio, I just hope he picks it up a whole lot when he's speaking in front of people, especially
business people.
