I was in San Juan on vacation in the 80s and happened to bump into the owner of Radio Oso. He invited us back to the station for a tour. Nice guy as I remember. Does anybody know if he still owns radio WOSO or is still there? His name was Augie DelGado. The station was near the Capitol on Paseo de la Covadonga.
 
WOSO was sold, and manager Augie Cavallaro (Italian form Massachussets, not Hispanic) was fired. The new owner as of about 15 years ago is Sherman Wildman, former interim manager of WAPA TV in San Juan. It continues to be an English station, and even manages to show up sometimes in the Arbitron ratings.
 
Thank you, David. I had jumbled his last name with someone else I knew in San Juan. ::) Don't know what I was thinking. I appreciate the comeback.
