Possible. However, WOSU's leap from mid to top tier didn't start until November 2020. If the change was mostly pandemic-driven it probably would have occurred sooner than that? The Pandemic has seen many NPR stations get a boost in their ratings. And while some have settled back to more normal numbers, others have stayed among their markets' top stations.
WNYC-FM is #9 in NYC
WBEZ is #8 in Chicago
WHYY-FM is #9 in Philadelphia
These stations were never in the top ten in the past. Often they were around #15.
Seems like a possibility. And/or maybe there's some movement to TV, podcasts etc for similar content. And Limbaugh had such a strong following that replacements may not be able to duplicate that performance. I might be wrong, but I doubt much of WOSU's increases have resulted from migration over from WTVN.Could it be more listeners are wanting less bombast and more thoughtful presentation? Sometimes they are a bit more left than I am, but I long ago tired of Limbaugh/Hannity et al.
