Would a flip on WEAN to Classic rock on the weekend work?

On the front page of R-I there is a a story about KTLK talk radio takeing the weekend off to play music.I wonder if something like that would work here. The programming is pretty boring on the weekend and keep the talk on WPRO-AM while rocking out on 99.7.
I know the flip from true oldies to bussiness talk on 790 had alot to do with ASCAP fees.Could a station flip to just music 2 days a week a cheaper rate than at 7 days a week or is it just one fee.

The story caught my eye and wanted to bring it up..

I don't like that idea. It's currently Sunday night at 8:30. I'm listening to Dr. Dean Edell on WEAN. I prefer the higher quality signal. Don't ruin it for me.

good for you i think they should upgrade the signal on 99. 7 and make it stero and change the format to rock, chr or something

Right now I'm liking the idea of them going all Sports. Yeah.... I think that would be good. ;)

Which reminds me......

I wonder if that intrepid band of underdogs (or is it pirates?) on 990 are even bothering to pay any fees for the music that's being played...whether English or Spanish?

Just wondering......
