Would a radio station like this suceed in Nashville?

I suspect this is close to the "Red" format in St. Louis, if it still exists.

I heard the following sequence on 95.5 in eastern/central Kentucky:

"The Way You Are" Billy Joel; "Try to Remember" Ed Ames; "Cotton Jenny" Anne Murray; "Love" John Lennon(?); "I'll be Seeing You" (?).

I would listen to this station.

It soinds like an updated "Music of Your Life." Add some Carpemters, Bread, and current rock stars now doing Pop Classics, like Carly Simon, Rod Stewart, and certainly some jazz like Diana Krall and Tony Bennett. Listen? Hell, I'd work there!
