Audacy Flips Seven Stations To BetQL Network

Audacy is expanding it Sports Betting "BetQL Network" to seven additional stations. Currently heard on 1430 KAMP Aurora/Denver, 93.1 KCBS-HD3

not for the commitment to ESPN might they add
WEEI 850 or at least run some shows there?

I think some spillover sports airs on 850; pretty sure the arrangement has ESPN paying Audacy for
clearance in Boston
 
If sports betting is ever legalized in Massachusetts, BetQL would make sense -- although, as you say, Audacy's hands may be tied by its deal with ESPN. Legislation in all matters concerning gambling in Massachusetts is complicated by the 500-pound gorilla of influence known as the Mass. Lottery, which will almost certainly demand a role in running sports betting or a cut of the proceeds as compensation for revenues lost from people who will be buying a dozen fewer scratch tickets every day because they'll be betting on a dozen baseball games every night.
