WOULD CLEAR CHANNEL SELL ANY PROVIDENCE STATIONS?

I realize each station plays its own role within the cluster in terms of what CC needs in Providence but obviously at least two if not more are not doing that well. Any chance they could try to sell considering other than HJY they're really not doing much in the way of local programming anyway?

Gee, Let's see. CC is Billions with a "B" in the whole. They are on the verge of bankruptcy. So your answer is yes.I expect,Almost want to guarantee a "For Sale" sign up on Oxford for one or all of thier Stations by Christmas.

Please save quote because it will be filed in The see I told you so folder in the near future.

It sure would be nice, because they're treating 93.3 and 101.5 like dirt right now. You gotta think that some other company would be able to have some success with these two very powerful stations.

It makes sense to think they're running B101 and Coast on the cheap until they can dump them but I don't think they would want to go it with just HJY in the market and HJJ is a non-issue. HJY targets men. Both PRO FM and LITE have to be heavy on females and I don't think there's anything CC can do to steal them away. B101 has the morning show going for it and that's it. The syndicated jocks sound like talking cardboard. Maybe they have years of experience that got them where they are now but now that they're there, man they are boring. I wouldn't call Matty and Seacrest boring but neither one is gonna do much to bring in an audience. I wonder how many radio people on the beach in this market are just playing a waiting game and hoping at least one CC station gets sold so the job market opens up.

One radio station being sold won't exactly do much for the job market. Even if they did hire locals, we are talking about 5 people being hired out of the hundreds that are unemployed. You've got better odds of winning in Vegas.
