Would Click FM Work in Cincinnati?

If you were Cumulus would you put Click FM on 94.1. I think it would do better than AAA Radio 94.1. Agree or Disagree?

I say yes. Click has a pretty straightfoward brand and I think with a little marketing could be a hit and could possibly take listeners from Rewind and Q. It might cannibalize 96 Rock though.

ABSOLUTELY. Click reminds me a tad of The Sound, but with more Pop and Classic Alternative. The logical place for Click would be 94.1. Frequency is a very bland station...especially that horrible imaging. I'd dump Frequency and make it "Click".

I've never heard it and am hopelessly out of the demo, but before answering the thread question, one might want to answer this question a year from now : Did it work in Dayton?

This format is failing in Seattle and in Tampa. I personally like the music but the masses don't. It is a very tight play list and you can find
this music on other stations so these Modern Hit formats never take off. I'm just telling you what I hear about this format in other markerts.

@Atlantaboy,
You are looking at 12+. You need to
talk to radio people in those markets
and you will see how bad they are doing
in competitive demos.

@Atlantaboy,
Dude, KLCK has been in this format
for 5 months. They flipped on November
2nd, 2010. Most new formats have
their best numbers 2-3 months in when
everyone is sampling the station.

For the record, i've been keeping a long-handed diary of what songs Click has been playing, and I count a music library of 160 tunes. For a new station, that's quite a few tunes. Do they repeat songs? Yeah, that's a smart idea for a station that's brand new. They do that because folks are tuning in and out sampling the new station. Also, what radio station DOESN'T repeat songs? I don't mind it at all...especially since I don't have to sit through awful Bon Jovi tunes any more!

People say the same thing about Triple A stations though, even stations that bill really high - Modern AC has a very wealthy target demo, so as long as share hangs around 3.0, I think these stations will be profitable

In Seattle BTW, Click 98.9 took a lot of listeners from the mainstream Hot AC station in that market, and they're currently tied with the AAA station there

???

They flipped to Modern AC on December 27, 2010 (under the call letters KWJZ) - they stayed jockless throughout January, so February was their first real "test month" in terms of ratings
