There are Dance leaning stations in lots of Middle Eastern cities, like Beruit, Ahman, and Cairo. Ive read that Uday Hussain used to run a CHR station in Baghdad that played U.S and Euro POP Rock and Rap, and also I read that they played Dance Anthems from Ibizia. Also, for a very short time Baghdad had a Chr on 104.1 called The Hot FM, and it played some Dance as well, my friend Eric was over there back then and reported Hot FM playing Darudes Sandstorm, and Castles in the Sky, even BFBS radio plays some Dance, so I was wondering if a CHR/Dance station like Z-1035 Torronto or Slam FM Holland or Mix FM in Beruit would work in Baghdad. Im not sure if Baghdad has any Dance clubs or not. Is this even plausible, are their even enough Western Friendly busineses open to support any type of private comercial station? I know that the former U.S Owned Hot FM suffered Terrorist bombs at their Transmitter site, and eventually the studio got bombed in the Hotel where they were set up at. AFN Freedom Radio these days uses 104.1 to simulcast their more powerful 107.7 signal.
