Would jockless variety work?

I was thinking about this a while ago and didn't think so; but seeing as even at #11 in Boston still pulling a decent 12+ number and a very large *** (If I am not mistaken, #7 in the market), it might be something that CC plays around with at B or Coast when they do their next "tweak", which should be coming in 2 months when Thanksgiving rolls around.

Since going to PPM in Boston, the station is consistantly in the top 5 Persons 25-54.

I'd like to hear this format done with jocks. Too many people equate the whatever success the format has had with the fact that it's jockless & I'm not convinced that's the case. I'm not a fan of jocks who talk about nothing but the music & artists, but with a format like this it could work as long as there's some localism & you go with an almost CHR approach with a talented staff that can do it all over the intros. Keep the music rolling. Keep the talk brief. Keep the energy up without being a 70's screamer.
