Would "My" 94.1 hurt KISS?

So, Mix 94.1 drops the "Mix" in their sweepers. Now, their jocks have dropped it too. This could indicate a flip. If they follow up with the other CC stations and flip to "My" 94.1, would it hurt KISS? Would it hurt any of the stations? I think it'd do better than the crap on now. Comments?

They still say MIX. I heard it today more than once. The web site still says MIX.

Maybe they're emphasizing the 94.1 in an attempt to cancel confusion with 94.9.

I'm not saying that anyone's being hurt, but someone may inadvertantly write down "94.9" insted of "94.1." It happens all the time.

Sometimes they have good music on 94.1 but the hybrid of every kind of music from the pop sytle country music to rock is a bit too much for me. Yhey sound more and more like a jake type station then a mix station. I would rather lisnned to Mix 107.7 then 94.1.

Well, Mix 107.7 is for those who really want a good Hot AC. I would like 94.1 better if they sounded more like Q102. I think 94.1 should be the Hot AC Q102 is. Q102 should lean more Rhythmic AC like they do sometimes or CHR. Although, Q102 doesn't have much to worry about. They do alright in the ratings. Heck, they beat KISS once.

Isn't Cincy one of the CC markets that will have to divest stations after it officially goes private? It was my understanding both Cincy and Cleveland were in that boat. Can anyone confirm?

Cleveland must drop 1 FM
Cincinnati must drop 1 FM
Columbus must drop 1 FM
Dayton must drop 2 FM

Thanks. I'm in Dayton where I'm predicting Channel and Smooth Jazz. Cincinnati-- Mix. Columbus-- 93.3? The Brew? Cleveland-- not familiar with.

Well, if Bonneville acquired it. Time to flip. It'd interfere with Q. Cumulus? Hmm.. wouldn't that interfere with 'GRR?

Or... if you're into conspiracy theories, what if Cumulus acquired 94.9 and Bonneville got 94.1? Just a thought.

I was fairly certain that CC had to divest a certain amount of market share, not just one station.

I don't know where kentuckymedia got his information, but I haven't heard that CC was divesting anything in Cincinnati or Cleveland. I know they were selling a couple in Dayton.

Can you direct us to your source kentuckymedia?

They tried this tactice before. Back in the days when it was WINK, the numbers started to fade, so they dropped the "WINK" and just became "The best mix of music, 94.1". Eventually, of course, it became "MIX 94.1". There was no significant music change. Maybe they're trying to do the same thing here.

Clear Channel doesn't know what to do with it. They're going to sell it. It's just a matter of when. And when they do... I predict Rhythmic AC.
