I don't know if that is considered Variety Hits (Oldies style), but I will say that on the AM, I definitely don't see it working out at all on the AM. Most younger listeners (particularly those under 30) aren't going to want to listen to AM in general, even less to music on AM radio.
In my estimation, the station does not qualify. It doesn't cover enough of a variety of genres (focusing too much on rhythmic/Motown), though it is a rather unique format. I'm not sure how much more success the station will find by adding 80s/90s tracks to an AM station, but time will tell.
Thanks for the heads-up, though.<P ID="signature">______________
