Would this Univision changes make sense?

With Amor having a bad month in June would it make better sense to move it to 104.9 and 93.3? And move LATINOMIX to 106.5 would help it compete better against KLOL.

If not would it make sense to change names on these two? I mean Amor 106.5 has a more MIX than LATINOMIX.

Amor plays Bachata, Reggeaton, Pop, Rock, cumbias, norteño ect ect. So they’re more of a LATINOMIX than 104.9 is.

No.

Why not? Well you wouldn’t know, someone like David Eduardo can elaborate more on this.
I can't comment on internal decisions.

Because swapping frequencies wouldn't make a difference. Most of the Hispanic population is heavily concentrated inside the Hwy 6/FM1960 half loop. KAMA already covers that area adequately. If anything, 106.5 would hinder coverage towards the growing Hispanic population in the NW metro. Both signals are practically equal considering their target audience is the Hispanic population. Overall, yes KOVE covers more people. But more Hispanics? Both are likely equal.

And swapping established brandings would just create confusion at this point.

"Amor" is an odd name for 106.5, since it's pretty upbeat and generally doesn't play sleepy love ballads.

Then again, we have a station called "The Box", so I digress.
I agree, like I said already 106.5 plays a mixture of Bachata, Cumbias, Banda, Norteño, Norteño light, tejano. And especially Saturday nights the DJ makes you think you’re listening to a whole different radio station.
Univision can do better than what it’s doing at the moment.

And most of the lyrics are about love and relationships. So?

What do you base this on? Either way, I'm not sure we will see any moves until Televisa-Univision completes the merger.

The better speculation is what will happen to the merged brands here and in Mexico? Univision isn't as iconic as the "Televisa" brand, yet it seems like Univision will be leading the new company.

Well I am no radio expert and don’t work on anything related. But seeing their ratings how all year they either beat or were tie with KLOL amd how KLOL had a big jump this month makes me base it on that.

We can tell.

First of all, you don't make knee jerk reactions based off of one month.

Second of all, KOVE doesn't have the Missouri City stick advantage that KLOL has.

Third (and most importantly), this is the 6+ ratings. I wouldn't use it for anything other than to get a feel for how the station may be doing. They carry no weight. Also, if a station is billing well, then ratings be damned. You think KFNC cares about their 0.3 in the +6 ratings?
