Whats the deal with our TV news anchors???? Sometimes putting down the bottle before you drive is a good thing. John Snell is now in time out for his bad behavior. ??? And in MANDEVILLE for heaven sakes. Oh wait, sometimes its ok to drink and drive in Mandeville. All you have to do is say you are the mayor.

I don't understand why anyone would drink and drive. I drink but the first time I decide to drive after having even one drink some kid is going to run out in front of my car and I'll be in prison for a long time. TV personalities, movie stars, etc. all make more money than I do and I can afford to call a cab if I need to get home without driving drunk, or a friend would gladly drive me home. I'd like to hear the stories behind John Snell & Norman Robinson's recent DUIs. There must be some circumstances that were completely out of the ordinary. Or maybe not but I'd like to know.

I was VERY lucky because the CHart Room was just half a block from the station, and the station had a "lizard lounge" couch that I crashed on many evenings. I don't drink now. Just don't get the kick out of it anymore. (by the way that couch was really gross, but when you are drunk you just don't see or smell things)

I totally know the story behind that...If I had to report on the economy six times a day I'd drink all the time. Hell, as it is now just hearing about it makes me want to start with da vodka
