Wouldn't it be interesting if...

...every station in the LA/OC area took all the announcers we've heard for years off the air and replaced them with someone nobody ever heard of and they had talent to do a good job. How would listeners react? (Please be serious. No answers like, "Gee, people actually listen to RADIO? or other such nonsense).

I'm simply curious if listenership would increase or decrease...or there would be no change.

If it's DJ's your talking about I don't think there would be a difference in listenership. People listen to the stations for the music and their are no personalities anymore. (I consider the morning shows talk shows because they rarely play music).

As for talk shows I think there would be a decrease in listenership. If I tune in to Jim Rome, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, John and Ken, or Tim Conway Jr. and there is someone filling in for them, i'll usually tune out. It took a while for George Noory to grow on me after he replaced Art Bell.
