WWL-FM, not AM.

105.3 FM

Very clear and consistent, even a small blip of RDS. Chevy Cobalt standard GM radio.

Longest radio DX I've ever had. Too bad NTSC is gone. I bet I could get some great stuff using just rabbit ears.

Good catch Mike. I had WRNO-FM/New Orleans in and out Tuesday night from northwest Houston. No RDS though. It was fighting with "Gator 99.5" out of Lake Charles.

Forgot to mention this one too. Came in on 87.7 FM. KXKW-LP

WOW! 87.7?! That's the frequency of KSTJ. "Playing None of Today's Hits, and All of My Favorites!" Just the best music mix in town and I oughta know, I picked every song!

Well, it's my best catch so far for FM radio, and I wasn't even trying. Really cool to flip between it and the 870 clear channel.

I've gotten Dallas before on NTSC VHF using rabbit ears. I think it was around this time a few years ago. Got some Austin UHF as well.

Only got into DX a few years ago.

I am getting this station again this morning - but now I'm upstairs in my 3rd floor apartment in the Galleria area. It's pretty scratchy but it's coming in consistently. 105.3 WWL-FM.

The extra height of the 3rd floor is probably helping a bit.

I normally pick up KISS on 99.5, out at Lavaca county, but Sunday night, I usually have HD Radio disabled, and I was able to get KISS HD signal, but KPLX came in very clear. Also WRR and other Dallas stations came in very clear. It was wide open.

Another good night for DXing. Keep hearing something trying to come in over 94.5 not sure what it is though. I did recognize the song however it was "Live Like We're Dying" by Kris Allen. Heard that come in right over Mandatory Metallica lol.

I picked up WRR of my Realistic STA-2000 receiver earlier tonight as well, in addition to WRNO 99.5.

Those older Realistic receivers are great for DX'ing. I've picked up KKBQ (very tricky since KTYL is right next door at 93.1) KRBE and KTHT in Kilgore with an STA-90 using a Realistic antenna amp and "rabbit ears" FM antenna to null out the nearby signals.

The furthest I've ever picked up was KATT in Oklahoma City about 5 years ago.

Of course I can get KGOW every afternoon here too. ;D

My guess is KSMB-Lafayette. KSMB wins the war with The Buzz after you cross the state line. It often also makes The Buzz unlistenable once you pass Winnie on occasion.
