Kiss 108 is Number One Station in Boston( !st Summer 12 plus Trend ) . WBZ number two . Jamn 94.5 Number 3 . I am SHOCK , WBZ is not the top station and Jamn is not the top music station in Boston .

Yes, but WJMN-FM and WXKS-FM are both owned by Clear Channel, so it really doesn't matter whch one of them is on top.

...and Ramiro was using some of Matty's imaging on his show Monday, wasting a good amount of time talking about their new shared offices and the scenario of a rapper's entourage showing up in the lobby at the same time some Kiss listeners were picking up concert tickets. It was pretty terrible - and for listeners who don't keep track of (or care about) station ownership, it was confusing. I changed the station, thinking that 20 years ago, they would've been eager to get in their competition's studios and take a bulk eraser to the cart racks.

Today they play the other guy's liners on their own show and laugh about him being right down the hall. *sigh*

There is NO doubt in my mind that it has something to do with Mr. Blue

Agreed. He's the freshest and most talented jock in the market. You might be having a crappy night - but turn KISS on, and JB will pull you out of your funk. Very fun and compelling radio. Just the way it ought to be.

I third that. This guy is too good for radio. He should be in L.A. winning Emmy awards. I'm happy to see my fellow Vermonter do so well.

They should move him up to afternoons.I don't understand what "yaw boy Ro-Me-Yo" is even doing there.Do they actually encourage him to talk like a prize fighter?

I think the resurgence of "pop radio" across the country can be due in large part to the success of American Idol. Anybody else agree?

They've contributed a couple of hits, but the resurgence of pop is due to the contributions of those who made it great several years ago.

Justin Timberlake - On the scene since 1998
Maroon 5 - On the scene since 2003, recording since 1997
Pink - On the scene since 2000
Nelly Furtado - On the scene since 2000
Gwen Stefani - On the scene since 1995
Timbaland - Producing since 1997

Everybody old is new again.

Jackson does an unreal job. The hours commitment he is probably making is insane. He takes advantage of web crazed Myspace "whores" with his websites and dishes on celeberties, also incorporating that into his show with a great mix of music thanks to artists previously mentioned. I think his willingness to be basically a listener friendly and oriented program seals the deal for him, very quick witted. Keep up the good work

Has anyone considered it could be a fluke?

Flukes happen from time to time. All it takes is a few diaries to go to the right people and BINGO! If KISS has the same ratings next book, I'll agree that it might not be one, but #1 should not be based on a single 3 month rolling average.

Agreed. Flukes happen. And things will most likely change... but Jackson IS good and deserves praise.

Jackson does rock and the listeners can tell he LOVES what he does. Hearing Dan Justin, Sunny Joe White, Uncle Dale, et al, enjoy themselves on the radio made me want to get into it in the first place!!
