WOW! Remember When E! Used To Show This?

I realize that perhaps this might be more appropriate for the Classic TV forum - but as long as we're spending a great deal of time talking about how cable channels have changed over the last 10-20 years, I suppose this will suffice here...

Check this out... it's a clip of a performance by Peter, Paul & Mary on "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" - which, as you can figure out by the big annoying logo on the bottom right, actually aired on E! way back when:

Those were the days of "The Howard Stern Interview" and "TALK Soup" on E!, with days being rounded out by re-runs of Star Search '83 and Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It kind of reminds me of the early "Music First" era of VH1, when they aired old '70s/80s American Bandstand and Solid Gold.

Now, in order to survive, you just can't throw anything on the wall and call it a program schedule (unless you're a third-tier Discovery digital network).
