Wow! Surprise in Boston

I'm guessing it is Post Bruins hangover and Patriots Lockout fever; but The Hub dropped from a 5.2 to a 2.6 while WEEI stayed flat. Let's see what happens with the Providence numbers...

Sox are having a great season, yet WEEI still goes down. I don't have the breakouts, but I tend to think the losses are coming during the day, as opposed to the games. The PPM reflects the importance of sports p-b-p more than the diary ever did. 98.5 dropping off after the hoopla around the B's isn't a surprise. Look for both stations to rise as the Sox enter the playoffs and the Pats get started. You'll see the difference if the NBA lockout goes into the season. Sports Hub will have Pats (possibly a deep playoff run) and the Bruins and WEEI will have....nothing. Those numbers could get ugly....
