A station is sold in this market and no one has caught wind of it and posted yet? Closing was Tuesday, takeover is this Tuesday. Let the guesses begin!

Ding ding---time's up---the winner is---GatesYard!

Could it be that Joe Green, owner of WWII, has purchased WHYL? He is a good guy and perhaps we will get the sound effects format that I've always hoped for.

Route 81 sold WHYL Carlisle to Joe Green & Bruce Collier the former WHYL GM. Then they sold their Hazleton station WAZL to it's contract engineer Mike Moran, who promptly fired the entire staff because he doesn't have any money. Both stations are running on LMAs until the sales are complete. After that, one of Route 81's major creditors foreclosed. Then if the poor 81 staffers hadn't gotten tossed and turned enough, Route 81 stiffed all their employees on their July 15th payroll! The people had to wait until today to get paid. What a way to run a railroad!
