I just turned on 98.3 in Paducah...Live DJs! It actually sounds good too. It sounds like they are a little bit more "hot ac" than "ac." Is it still Stratmeyer? I am impressed...96-9...LOOK OUT.

LOL...as soon as I heard it I thought to myself, "96-9 is going to fially choose a format." Guess we will see.

Electric 96.9 has the market cornered. It will take a lot to challenge them, but it will be interesting to watch.

I seriously doubt that Stratmeyer has hired live jocks -- probably a voicetracked satellite format through Waitt Radio Networks, the jocks from Waitt will track it where it sounds local.
 
They were live/local when they first signed on and didn't make much of an impact out of the box--and this was back when the only competition was WDDJ & WKYX. No reason to think anything will be different this time around.
 
Sam will also never spend the money to market K-98 properly. Driving around town in a VW with magnetic stickers all over it won't do it alone.

BTW, Electric 96-9 is not planning on choosing a format anytime soon, as 2bornot2b put it. Electric returned to mainstream Top 40 a couple of years ago following the disasterous Hot AC experiment. Glad to know 2bornot2b is "listening".
