"Listeners reshuffled northeast Indiana radio-station ratings again, this time making news-talk the most popular format.
The ruler of the overall demographic for the summer ratings period was WOWO, 1190 AM, Fort Wayne’s news-talk station, which jumped to first after finishing tied for third in last fall’s period. The station posted its highest rating since the fall 2005 period.
Leading the demographic most watched by advertisers, listeners age 25 to 54, was WFWI, 92.3 FM, a classic-rock station.
Both stations are owned by Federated Media. Mark DePrez, general manager of Federated Media South, which includes WOWO, said he could not point to a single change or news event that vaulted WOWO to the top of the ranking."
