WOZK Ozark, Alabama reaching Michigan

AM 900 WOZK logged tonight at midnight EST here in Michigan. I wouldn't normally post a single domestic logging like this, but records show they should be operating 70 watts at night / 1kw days. I suspect they were operating at day power to be heard at this distance (approx. 810 miles). Would love to know for sure... CHML nulled to the east, WOZK in the clear to the south with easy listening adult standards.

What's the probability of a 70 watt signal reaching this distance on medium wave? Is it unheard of?

Far from unheard of. WIFE 1580 Connersville,IN was heard with a confirmed 4.6 watts in Findland (I think that was the country...it was around 4000 miles in any case).
