WPAL is back

WPAL 100.9FM (Ridgeville/Charleston) is on the air the only difference is that its not a NeoSoul format. The signal is still weak in the metro areas. I heard a jazz song and the long version of Cha Cha Slide then the signal just went to static as I approached downtown Charleston.

Hopefully, they stay on-air this time. Chucktown doesn't need another Urban AC station though. STAR 99.7 and MAGIC 107.3 cover the Lowcountry just fine. It would be nice for them to go back to the Urban Hip-Hop format that they were back in the 90s and early 2000s (RHYTHM 100.9//100.9 THE BOMB//MEGA 100.9). That would definitely
give Z93 JAMZ some much needed competition and 97.9 THE WIZ a lil' comp too.

Doubt they will do this, ya think they'd pick up where Wave left off in the alternative field?

My inclination is hip-hop, though.

100.5 has been doing this for a little bit now.
