WPAN-Giving up on Cozi?

It seems to me all WPAN is now showing is infomercials, their facebook page is gone and it seems they gave up on being a Cozi network. How sad. Does anyone know if COZI is on a subchannel? I know ME-TV is on WKRG 5-3.

-Rob

So, why is WPAN Paid Advertisement Network then?

Do you know why they gave up on the Cozi idea?

I still can't believe people buy this

-Rob

WPAN has been an infomercial channel for about 20 years or so. Before that it was 24/7 religion, carrying the exact same programming as WHBR-33 and sometimes duplicating the programming on WFGX-35. Before that it was dark. Before that it was our second local indie station and was cool, but that was way back in the early to mid 1980's.

I'm more interested to know what prompted them to add some COZI programs into their infomercial lineup to begin with. I'm usually to lazy to check out what's on OTA and WPAN has been having "technical difficulties" on UVerse for over a year, so I really don't know much about the 40.1 schedule since they broke off their affiliation as BLAB-2.

Also, why is discussion of a Fort Walton Beach, Florida TV station on the Alabama radio board? I guess it could be some foreshadowing to the future of channel 69 in Troy? Hopefully not.

Actually, isn't the station's tower in Mobile?

I don't think Ft Walton Beach has any sticks, 35 is in Pensacola, and I believe PAN is in Mobile.

-Rob

WPAN shares a tower with WUWF-FM in Midway, halfway between Pensacola and Fort Walton, off Highway 98 near the Gulf Breeze zoo. WPAN, WAWD, and WFBD are the three Mobile-Pensacola-Fort Walton TV stations with no OTA coverage of Mobile county. WFGX is the only TV station licensed to Fort Walton that covers the entire market OTA. That's why the Fort Walton TV stations only carry paid programming... crap for signals.

I knew the stick wasn't here! What about WFBD? I think that's in Pensacola, too

-Rob

WFBD is north of Crestview, near the Alabama state line.
WAWD is supposedly in Navarre, but I can't pick up the station in Pensacola at all. I'm thinking they may still be broadcasting from a short tower in Destin.
WPAN is near the Gulf Breeze Zoo.
WBQP-CA and WCTU-LD are in Pensacola.
Every other TV station in the market is along I-10 in Baldwin County Alabama between the porn shop & fireworks exit and Spanish Fort. WEIQ is the only Mobile station that doesn't put a good signal into Florida since they use the old, short, WALA tower and lower wattage than everyone else.
