Well it's September and WPAZ still hasn't signed on. Are there any updates? Does anyone know of a target date?

WPAZ received an extension of the silent STA in early August. Under its terms they must return to the by mid-November (I believe it's 11/15) or the license will be deleted. See the FCC notification below:

WPAZ noted back on air on Saturday 10/19 til 6:15PM with unmodulated carrier and on Sunday 10/20 running WordFM. Four Rivers WordFM website does not list 1370 as part of their network.

All of their stations are Contemporary Christian music - there is a little 'religious' talk sometimes between songs but generally all music, not 'block programmed' like rival WBYN. They will soon have a major full-market competitor though on 106.9 K-Love.

WPAZ launched their new but different Word FM format today, playing "traditional songs of inspiration" and not the same contemporary Christian programming carried on their Word FM network and website.
