WPB swap

From AllAccess:
iHEARTMEDIA has swapped the signals off two of its WEST PALM BEACH stations.
The Talk format of WZZR (REAL RADIO 94.3) moved to 92.1 as REAL RADIO 92.1 and the Spanish AC format of WRLX (MIA 92.1) has moved to WZZR's former 94.3 signal as MIA 94.3. REAL RADIO's simulcast on WCZR/VERO BEACH continues.

Are the signals much different? They don't seem to be based on the radio-locator coverage maps. Any idea why this might have happened?

94.3 is a much more powerful signal. I worked at 92.1 a generation ago when it was Lite Rock and Jazz. They faded in Jupiter, which has a significant Spanish population. I don't remember where 92.1 fades in south county, but I assume 94.3 will allow Clear Channel to better reach the hispanicx population in Boynton Beach and Delray Beach. It is interesting to see how WZZR keeps moving south. The call letters referred to "Z93" a CHR in Fort Pierce. In 1997 the moved to Riveria Beach at 94.3, now they're moving to a class C in West Palm Beach at 92.1

92.1 and 94.3 were originally both class A's, 3Kw@300'.
In Fort Lauderdale, the 92.1 would flip back and forth with what was then WHMS, Hialeah - Miami Springs.
