WPBK-WKYB

We noticed that WPBK seems to be simulcasting over WKYB. Is this under an LMA?
Does anyone know what the rules are, in regard to overlapping signals?

This has been going on for almost as long as WKYB has been on the air...IF NOT as long. Isn't WKYB owned by the family of a deceased religious station chain operator? WKYB puts a decent signal over Lexington while WPBK ...not so much.

Why don't you look into buying 105.9 and putting WCGW on there full time? As a former 770 weekend warrior and general all around fill-in guy at 770 and WJMM, I always felt 770 could be viable if on 24 hours. With your present automation, it would not cost much to run.

Fifteen to Twenty years ago, 770 sometimes had pretty good ratings considering their daytime status.

According to Radio Locator WKYB is owned by Vernon Baldwin who passed away a few years ago. His estate also owns a FM in Cincinnati which is a K-Love Affiliate.

It did while we were buying the ARB and Nielson ratings. We made an offer on it but, Cousin Verns widow was WAAAAAY off on what she thought it was worth. Frankly, we thought that this would go back the the commission as i believe it was dark for over a year. Naturally, it all depends on when you report this event to the commission.
Southern Gospel on FM? It might work. Sometimes it is hard to get sponsors for it, though.
