WPBQ off air?

Both FM and AM(what's left of it) was dead air for several days. The last I checked it is still off the air after a week. Technical problems or something else?

Technical problems most likely. If the AM is off for more than 24 hours, the translator is required to go off. That doesn't always happen with translators, but those are the rules. I was on the road a good bit last week and heard more than one translator still on the air but the associated AM was off.

970 AM has been doing that for a couple of years either off the air, or so weak you can't hear it. I wish stations wouldn't do that. most the time the AM station gets out better assuming they are at full power. I still listen to 1180 AM because I can't pick up 96.9 in my house.

funny how the station is in Brandon, yet you can't hear it in Brandon. They really need to fix the AM side since the FM is no longer in Brandon
