WPDH 35th Anniversary June 4th & June 5th

Finally, the WPDH's 35th Anniversay Weekend has finally done. All of the airchecks has finally completed. What a 2-day run has been. I hope that I can post it later this week if I can get a chance. It's like CBS-FM's Rock & Roll Radio Greats Reunion all over again.

WPDH's 35th Anniversary was terrific! too bad all the shows weren't live...Anyone know why WPDH doesn't have traffic reports during the week for drive time ?

For those of you had missed last weekend where they did the WPDH 35th Anniversary Weekend, I will share with this first aircheck. This is the full aircheck of a special Coop & Malrooney show from last weekend where they introduced their guests about WPDH and the station's history since it has been for 35 years since 1976. This aircheck was recorded a few days before Malrooney left the morning show, but Mark Cooper remains in mornings looking for a replacement. Enjoy!

I'll post more from the WPDH's 35th Anniversary Weekend later on with Robyn Taylor.

Since I was busy for the last week, here are the rest of the airchecks from the WPDH's 35th Anniversary Weekend. I post the rest of them to share. But this was from last Sunday. We'll start this off with John Steffanci from Las Vegas where he talks about Stu Shantz when it came to WPDH back in 1985. Stu was a PD at WSPK back in the 70's when it was a rock station before it went to Top 40 as "K104" in 1980 before he came to WPDH as PD for 5 years and went to back to WSPK in 1990 and stayed until 1998. Here is John Steffanci.

Here is Tom Morgan where he spins his own vinyl on a special show on WDPH where he plays album cuts from obscure albums that you don't hear it on the radio these days.

Here are two of them that are on WPDH during the 35th Anniversary Weekend. We'll start off with Rob Dyson, he was the founder and PD of the station when he first started on WPDH since it flipped from country to rock back in 1976, prior to that, he talks about the simulcast of WEOK on FM before the call letters changed to WPDH in 1972. After that, it's the first half of Pete Clark on WPDH.

Here's more of Pete Clark on WPDH and then Scott Carlin afterwards.

And then, Freddie Colman on WPDH.

And finally, WPDH wraps up our 35th Anniversary Weekend with DJ Tigman along with special guests that you've just heard on WPDH previously.

The airchecks for the WPDH's 35th Anniversary weekend are now being complete. I hope you enjoy a trip down Memory Lane for some good stuff that WPDH brings to you, just like the way CBS-FM did with the "Rock & Roll Radio Greats" reunion weekend. I hope you'll like it!
