WPEN Weekend Programming

WPEN is supposedly dropping the infomercals on weekends to run sports talk with the new format. Wonder where all the other brokered talk shows will end up, like WCAU/WWDB exiles the Jelnicks, Frank Rizzo, Jr. and longtime WPEN Jay Lamont show. Who might run these older-skewing shows - WWDB, WPHT, WNWR, WNJC?
Or has their time finally run out like tht nostalgic music programming they were built around? Are there people under 80 who would still listen to the Jelnicks (other than Captain Jenks "crashing" the show on his car phone from North Wales)?

I don't think WPHT would hurry to take any of them, but the other stations mentioned plus WNTP could all be candidates.

Lamont's audience is probably fairly affluent--I think there are some AMs that wouldn't (or shouldn't) mind having people like that tune in and maybe hang around for a while.

Dunno about any of the other shows, but they would be FOOLISH not to take LaMont. He knows his stuff and a lot of people tune in, especially with the real estate markets here and in South Jersey going bonkers.

Don't be surprised if Jay winds up on 1210. Everyone else might have to fend for themselves. Would BEasley rehire the DB retreads for AM860?
