What is wrong with this picture? WPGC-FM is still getting beat by WMMJ. Majic 102.3 is another one of Radio One's boring Urban ACs that has a mostly oldies playlist, while WPGC 95.5 plays any and everything from young to old. I don't think Jay Stevens isn't too happy about this? DC and Baltimore locals can you elaborate on this?<P ID="signature">______________

I doubt that WPGC is stressing over the fact that WMMJ is beating them 12+ by the slimmest of margins. Both stations aim at different demos, WPGC concentrates on 18-34 while WMMJ targets 25-54 (and is usually #1 in the demo, WPGC also does well 25-54).

Also keep in mind that not everyone shares the same musical tastes. You consider Urban oldies boring. I love urban oldies and appreciate any Urban AC that plays a generous portion of them.

I do appreciate the urban oldies also, but it seems when RO tries to program any Urban AC, it sounds like an oldies jukebox on repeat. IMO, WHUR does the Urban AC format better justice in this market, and even though WPGC suppose to aim a 18-34 demo, they do a good job with 25-54 during "Love Talk & Slow Jams".
