WPGC

Well I hadn't listened to WPGC for some time, but Katy Perry and Bruno Mars? This is no longer Donnie Simpson's station!

wowww
you serious? Is he gone from there?
I remember that cat used to be on BET back in the day "Video Soul" I used to skip school sometimes just to watch him. He was great.
My former boss (J J Wright-103.3 W O D S-Boston, Ma) My former boss J J Wright looks like him. I used to intern for J J Wright at KISS 108 in Boston (CHR) I also sued to skip school to listen to J J Wright show because they used to have morning mixes on his show.

I knew when they made that Jason Kidd dude from Baltimore, it wouldn't be long.

Well, I think Big Tigger is doing mornings now and yes Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night" seems to be on a 2 hour rotation right now on WPGC. Bruno Mar's latest hit is as well but that one does have some rapping on it.

FAIL.....

I don't know if you call that a fail exactly. WPGC is back into the top 10 in the overall 6+ for DC market, and that's the highest position they been since early 2007. WPGC, and inadvertently WKYS, gotten proactive to adding urban hits (prior to them becoming Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop top 10 fixtures) compared to what they used to be.

For years and years they were often number 1, if I recall correctly.

I just meant fail as far as what I like.

Oh alright. ;) I feel you on that. WPGC in its "Urban Contemporary-lean" was more appropriate for my tastes. They spun some rhythmic tracks but it was overall urban in feel.
