Montgomery WPHH 93.5 move to 106.5

WQKS does Oldies for 6 hours on Sunday morning. The Big KD does Blues and Southern Soul everyday. I doubt if AAA would work. Same for Folk.

Dan <><

P.S. Even Magic 97.1 and Yo! 100.5 is including Southern Soul, in their mix, due to its growing popularity.

P.S. Even Magic 97.1 and Yo! 100.5 has suddenly jumped into the Southern Soul bandwagon.

Personally I would leave things as is. If it isn't broke, then don't fix it.

this is exactly why people are tuning out of local stations.

no one has the balls to experiment anymore.

How can you say something will never work until you've tried it?

6 hours of oldies on a saturday morning?

Why not go 24/7?

Now back to the lecture at hand. I wish "The Joy FM" success with their new home. I won't be able to hear it often, due to WZNJ 106.5 FM Demopolis coming in, when that West wind starts to blow real good. Now when that old North wind starts to blow, might be able to hear the new 106.3 FM from Maplesville, and WAPC 880 AM from Clanton, once Mr. Chris signs on with it.

P.S. WHOH-LP, and WEIT-LP will do some form of Urban Gospel, with talk mixed in, when they sign on. Bank on it.

I find it weird that there is no mention on the joy site or social media about the move to 106.5 to cover the market better. Did they make any announcements
There was a post on the Joy FM Alabama Facebook page a few weeks ago concerning the frequency change (see FB link in my original comment above).

Are you sure? It appears that 106.5's antenna is on a tower just off WVOC ave in DT Montgomery. The 93.5 is south of Montgomery according to FCCDATA.org
maybe i got the locations reversed when looking at maps

Well...for a 3400 watt station, I can get them here in Selma. (WPHH) The east winds are blowing just right, Mr. Zach. Ha! Ha! :ROFLMAO: I was expecting WZNJ Demopolis to bleed them out but I was wrong.
