WPHL 17.2's new programming...

...is not really programming at all except for a random loop of in-house promo bits for shows which can be watched on the main channel. Great thinking over there to the execs at Tribune...instead of just switching off 17.2 completely so full HD signal strength can be devoted to the main channel, you waste bandwidth with this type of crap navel-gazing. For shame...

With Weather Plus ending for NBC, and WPVI not giving full programming potential to 6.2, I fear this digital transition thing is probably for the birds. :-\

Though the thread was started months ago, it's appropriate to announce that channel 17.2 is now airing THIS-TV.
 
And....wow....what a lineup of cheap filler programming it is.
 
Indeed, that was kind of amusing, the reel of promos non-stop.
