In reading the history of a few Philly stations, I read that WPHL-TV 17
started out as a Christian station known as WPCA-TV and was run by an
evangelist named Percy Crawford. the station was on the air from 1960
to 1962 and was later sold to a group that restarted the station as
today's WPHL. what kinds of programming did this station run and was
it Christian only?
