If the new ratings that will be released soon, shows that WPHT's ratings are dropping further or still the same, will CBS do something?

One of the things CBS might do and I know this sounds crazy is to put the Phillies games on 94.1 FM only and drop the simulcast on 1210.

Have you seen the contract between WPHT & the Phillies? Does it allow CBS to put the games on whatever station it chooses? If the contract specifically specifies WPHT, then that's where the game will be. There may be a clause that covers certain situations, similar to what WIP had when there were conflicts between the Flyers and 76'ers, but that doesn't happen too much in the summer. If I were CBS, I would put the Phillies on whatever station THEY (the Phillies, the paying customer) want.

I do think PHT will receive a ratings bump from the Phillies. There are still some people who prefer the AM sound for sports. However, the bump won't be close to what it was in previous years. It won't help with the underlying problems though.

Did it receive much of a bump last season? My recollection is it didn't.

Sports sound way better on fm. The only good thing about the phillies being on am is that i can here the games further away. One night I was listening to a game heading up the nj turnpike and still had a clear signal up near Newark and jersey city.
