It'll be interesting to see if anyone clears him. 990's lineup is all their own Salem-distributed propagandists. Who else will pick up his show, and be willing to pay for it? That tiny stick of WFYL that literally has no listeners? What was that new uber-right wing station that signed on in Chester? Would iHeart dump the Gambler just to clear their syndicated shows?A well-deserved demotion.
Racist much? Funny, that was the only angry post in this thread! 😉Swap one angry white dude for another angry white dude, and trim one hour from another angry white dude's show.
Maybe not white ... white ... white. Know what I mean?Would smiley faces make it better? Maybe a laughing face? Just describing the programming. It is what it is.
I doubt it. He knows what plays with the audience. They didn't hire him for sports. They hired him to be a conservative talker and tell the audience what they want to hear when they tune in.I wonder if Greg Kayal will take the conversation more towards sports and less towards divisive politics.
You're seeing this with Len Berman at WOR.
The problem with national shows like Hannity is they become more irrelevant in cities like Philadelphia. They're preaching to the rural areas like State College and Gettysburg.
Is there even a point then? They already have the whack job overnight show. Not sure there’s any (meaningful) value to running the show at midnight if I’m Audacy. Maybe he just doesn’t clear in any significant way here.so... maybe buried after Levin?
And the press release, for what that’s worth, mentions trading sports for politics. But the press release also mentions being the first time the station is live 6am to 7pm. Not sure if that tracks. When 106.9 came along to be the rousing success it was, 1210 was local at least all day, and I thought had a local 6-9 show.I doubt it. He knows what plays with the audience. They didn't hire him for sports. They hired him to be a conservative talker and tell the audience what they want to hear when they tune in.
i miss him like high school... a distant memory that makes me cringeI miss JM
Hannity .............. OUT!
Honestly, given how crowded the conservative radio talk show field is, I wasn't surprised by this situation. However, he can still be heard in parts of the Delaware Valley live on the 1,000-watt WILM (1450) in Wilmington. That station is owned by iHeartMedia. It'll be interesting to see if anyone clears him. 990's lineup is all their own Salem-distributed propagandists. Or will the Philly market just forget about Hannity?
"Parts" is doing some heavy lifting there. Their signal barely scrapes Philly city limits. He's also heard on iHeart's AM Talkers in Reading (tiny signal) and Allentown (somewhat bigger signal). However, he can still be heard in parts of the Delaware Valley live on the 1,000-watt WILM (1450) in Wilmington.
