Does anyone think that the Phillies will remain with WPHT in 2012 and if so, why?

There's no reason the Phillies shouldn't demand games on FM in Philadelphia. The Flyers, who will be on FM, don't have nearly the fan base. The NHL is definitely worse off in a lot of places, but still not as strong as it was 20 to 35 years ago in Philadelphia.
The Phillies should not preempt the Eagles though.
If the Eagles can be on 610 and 94.1, why not the Phillies on 1210 and 94.1? About 3/4 of their games are evening games. Can 1210 do better? I doubt it.

ESPN pays for the playoffs on radio. 97.5 is an ESPN radio station. GM must pay ESPN money to carry ESPN radio. GM wants you to listen to the Phillies game on their station.Nick said:97.5 can air the postseason Phillies games, but not the regular season games.
The MLB might want the Phillies on FM so that it will have a larger local audience, and there's no skywave so that non-local fans will have to pay for streaming instead of just listening to the night games on the radio.

CBS pays for local Phillies broadcast and puts it on 1210. At least last year, the spots on 1210 were the same spots on ESPN radio. Really would be interesting for WIP-FM to simulcast 1210 during Phillies games and those who want to listen to WIP programming could still listen the old way on 610 WIP. That way, Phillies fans to listen to both the local broadcast and the national ESPN broadcast on FM.
I believe they started to let local radio in the postseason after 1993?
