WPHT has no signal so I checked 1200 AM and it's Joey Reynolds, 1220 is a religious station, he sounds scary. Does anybody know where these stations are from? Also, earlier, yesterday morning, around eight thirty AM on 1030 AM, a Carribean music station was on in WBZ' place, the Cacos Islands? TIA!

1220 would be the religious station that replaced the old WGAR in Cleveland.
Joey Reynolds, my favorite 1969-71 Wibbage jock who I can't even stand to listen to for more than a minute now - what happened?
1030 is probably the ethnic station from outside Washington DC that comes in here often in the early morning. 1200 could be WOAI from San Antonio, Texas, which used to cover the whole midwest at night. I checked their website but can't find a program listing amidst all the other clutter!

What happened, is that in the last 35 yrs., Joey was hired/fired numerous times as a result of some of his hi-jinx, purged some personal demons, got married, had children and raised them, got divorced, and went through a rough patch with his oldest daughter. In other words, he entered the world of responsible adulthood, and became a better man for it all. It happens!

Looks like they're using WHKW as their call sign now. It was WHK just after the multi-station frequency swaps in Cleveland in 2001, but those letters seem to have gone back to their traditional home on 1420 there.

The 1200 would probably be WAGE in Leesburg VA, which carries Reynolds.
