WPHX-FM/Sanford, ME sold

I’ve been in that area a bit this week, and spent some time listening to the station. What I did not hear were any commercials. I’m wondering if this is intentional as a way to introduce the station to a new audience, or if they just aren’t able to sell any spots?

They do run commercials but it seems they're more localized to the Exeter NH area, so they must be spots sold for AM 1540, not 92.1 FM. Any ad buyer has lucked out during the transition in that their ads are getting a much wider audience than they probably had originally paid for. I did hear one ad for a Dover NH business so maybe WXEX FM is slowly building a base of clients.
