glad to see it back on, but the pessimist in me wonders what's going to happen to it after the deal for the FM closes/ Looking through the APA filed with the FCC, the AM isn't mentioned at all, maybe they'll revisit that before the closing if the station continues to stay up and running.

Y'all may or may not be happy to know that the W221CH 92.1 translator has a CP to go to 102.9 from the same site.

Was granted last week.

And, in fact, are actually using 102.9 NOW!
Noted them last night at 9:20pm.
I thought they might be either the Dorchester pirate with a Spanish show or the Cape station had switched, then this morning the light bulb in the attic went on and I remembered about the 92.1 --> 102.9 shift in Lawrence and——sure enough——102.9 is // 0.800!
I presume, though, this is technically just "test authority" and they haven't formally switched?

Does this ruin WBLM's reception in the area?

It DOES a number on 'BLM's reception in the area. I used to get 'BLM quite well north of Boston. The 102.9 translator also takes a BIG chunk of WLLO-LP's coverage just south of Londonderry. It's a nice little station from the high school. The translator has a coverage similar to that of a minimum Class A station. It actually has better coverage than the AM on 800.
