I'm not 100% that it is going to be radio formula. I know for a fact its going to be spanish, and mostly a sat feed. Formula is coming from Mexico, and they are playing it on KTA, but the rumor is the feed is going to come from LA. They have already started construction for the WPJX studio in the Polnet offices in Northbrook. So we will find out what's going on, soon.
 
They were running the Radio Formula network last night around 7:30 when I turned it on. The legal ID was "WPJX Zion-Kenosha-Racine-Milwaukee" and mentioned Radio Formula. Was hard to understand. Also sounds like they installed a processer. The audio quality of what was on last night was really good compared to the way it was before. Radio Formula's American network (basically carries various programs from the Mexican network) is based in Sherman Oaks, CA (LA suburb) so that likely confirms the LA rumor.www.radioformula.usI highly doubt the format will last very long. The station had several Spanish formats including Latin Jazz around 1992, simmulcast of 1300 "La Mexicana" as WTAU in the mid 90s and a simmulcast of WBJX Racine, WI for part of 2001. All of them went under for one reason or another even when it was targeting the extremely hispanic Waukegan.
 
That's prob it. Although WEEF is calling itself Radio Formula. If you listen from 5-8pm, they play Radio Formula direct from Mexico.
 
Well, from private sources which I cannot disclose, here is the official news I have:1430 as well as 1500 are still deciding wether to keep brokering the time to independent people or to just plainly transmit Radio Formula directly from Mexico City's XERFR 970AM. We will have to wait around 1 month to see Polnet's decision.
