WPKT 90.5 Off

WPKT 90.5 also known as WNPR from Meriden mountain has been off since a thunderstorm blew through this afternoon. WTIC reported hail in Meriden from the storm.

There was a power failure at West Peak (home to the transmitters of WPKT, WWYZ, WZMX, WKSS, WDRC-FM and WHCN) at around 1pm that day due to a tree coming down on the HV lines at the bottom of the hill. It wasn't until I believe late the next morning that the power was restored by CL&P. I assume that was the root cause of both station outages. WDRC-FM has their own generator and I believe WPKT is connected to someone elses generator.

this is a little off topic but I am wondering how well West Peak will be heard here in Stamford once WCTZ leaves. there is a lot of RF from that station that overloads the dial here in Old Greenwich and that is soon to be gone. I see WCCC in Bridgeport disappear with WEBE transmitter in Bridgeport and come back in Fairfield in parts.
