AllAccess has an article analyzing some of the trends in various demos, in New York.
It was interesting to read that WPLJ moved up from #15 to #8, among 18-34 over the past year. Their morning show with Scott and Todd is now rated #3 mornings. Has the station made any recent significant changes that would help bring about these results?
In the same demo, 92.3 has moved up to #5. This is said to be up 29% from a year ago. That should help put to rest the notion that the station is not doing too well. It certainly seems successful compared to the rock format they had in place after Howard Stern left.
The article also mentions that in the 25-54 demo, WRXP and WCBS FM have been trending down over the past 3 months. In the case of WRXP, wouldn't it be more significant how they are doing with younger men?
