First, WPLJ starts with analog then hd1-2-3.

This is a typical of a heavily processed hot/ac which although it's analog has improved probably in response to rising expectations, it still evinces the usual clipping on most material, the hd1 is noticeably more open.
Next WNYC which also runs 3 hd channels.

For some reason the station tonight was running the same program on their hd1 and 2 feeds. HD3 is simulcast w/their AM.
This station is a favorite but it's fm is plagued by mutipath here in NYC, iboc solves this problem.
The AM simulcast is somewhat under-processed but it's quiet and without the hetrodynes that are heard on the nightime AM signal.
