WPLJ's Bill Evans Arrested

I am very shocked, as he has been one of the best personalities on TV News and on radio. What a shame, hope for the best for Bill and his wife.

yep, agreed. divorces make people do stupid things.. for all we know, the wife hit hard first, and reflex over came sense and he hit back. IF it was a one sided slap, I'd feel a bit different...but since BOTH where flinging fists....like you said, two wrongs don't make a right..

I still am shocked though...Bill doesn't seem like the violent type.
 
I think it's not fair to Cumulus to say they condone wife beating because they haven't fired this guy immediately. We don't know the whole story, and he may still yet get the boot.

after getting bashed in the head with a chair till it broke? Yeah..I'd be there too if the crazy witch chased me after that.
And apparently, if you read the article, even with a supposed broken color bone, she was still coming back for more...so how badly could they both have been injured? It took the kids to pry 'em apart. If it was a one sided fight, I'd feel different, but it sounds like she gave better than she got.

I hope they go easy on bill. Divorce will make you do crazy things. but apparently some people go all psycho.

You know, it's kind of funny. They would ALWAYS mention poor Nolan's divorce even when you could see he was clearly uncomfortable with it time and again. Assuming Bill told them, they where able to keep this one under wraps for a month. Add to that, 6 months later, they are still making it look like it was nolan's choice to leave the station...never mind the fact that all the other metro reporters are gone too, and he isn't the head of metro..... I understand the fact that you have to spin it so it doesn't make your bosses, the ones who made the decision look bad... But if Bill is forced to leave over this, I wonder if they will harp on him the same way..
