WPLL Planet 103-5

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the station leaned more Modern AC than Hot. The station was around when Alternative music was hot, and many CHR stations actually leaned Alternative and away from Dance and Rhythmic music.

Wow...blast from the 90's.

Format went a little like this:

WSHE flipped to 103.5 WPLL Planet Radio, as an adult alternative station. The play list was REM, The Cure, New Order, etc...
Briefly they called themselves 1035 The Planet. The station not only had Heidi Hess (formerly of 94.9 Zeta) and Steve in the morning but at one time had the Liz Wilde show, then in 1998 the station flipped to Planet 103 which would have been considered an Easy listening format. In 1999 the station flipped to Mega 1035 which again failed and became 1035 The Beat. Now after so many years, the Beat wasn't good enough so 103.5 added another spanish station to the Miami list.
