Let me start by saying I'm a fan of 'live radio'. Saturday morning(overnight) I was on my way home, & was listening to 99.1 WPLM. I was very disappointed with the jock on duty. Here is why. #1 he pronounces Aretha Franklin as (AR-EEDA- Franklin).
#2.he proceeds to read a standard liner card. And it ends up being a complete train wreck. This is not a slam. But this person should know how to pronounce the artists. And should proof read everything in advance of turning the microphone on. Please take a few minutes to have a general idea of what you're going to say. And you don't need to read the liner card as it is written. Put it, in your words. And make sure to touch upon the key elements that need to be conveyed(sponsor,etc) & you
should be fine..
